Squaw Valley Women’s Clinics Combine Skiing and Spa

Squaw Valley, CA - Squaw Valley introduced the first women’s-specific ski clinics in the mid 1970s, and the concept of women’s specific instruction continues to thrive today at ski areas across the world.
For the 2007-08 ski season Squaw Valley’s Just for Women Clinics will for the first time offer the “Sapphire Package,” an après ski spa treatment and winemaker event option that adds a contemporary twist to the original all-women ski clinic. Over the past thirty years, instruction and techniques for women have evolved and today’s clinics are designed to address the specific challenges that women face in skiing with nationally ranked instructors.
Each three-day clinic features women specific coaching, stretching and body awareness techniques, video feedback, off-slope workshops in ski selection and equipment care, and evening socials. Prices start at $719 for the three-day Just for Women’s Clinic (includes instruction and program activities, lift tickets, lunch and videotaping). One-day clinics for ladies are also available for $199. New this year, all clinics offer a “Sapphire Package” option that includes a relaxing après ski spa treatment and a Friday night winemaker event at Uncorked Wine Bar.
This 2007-08 ski season, Just for Women Clinic dates are: January 4, 2008; January 11-13, 2008; January 18, 2008; January 23-25, 2008 (Ages 50+); February 8-10, 2008; February 15, 2008; February 29- March 2, 2008 (expert only); and March 14-16, 2008.
